Are you into retro gaming?

Check this out and build your own Arcade

Full Kit Includes:

  • Precision Laser Cut Cabinet: overall size/footprint: 14.3 x 15.75 x 12.5 inches (HxWxD)
  • 10.1" (1280x800 HDMI/VGA/Composite video inputs) LCD screen
  • (2) Sanwa JFL joysticks
  • (15) Suzo-Happ arcade buttons and micro-switches (PICK YOUR COLORS!)
  • (4) 12mm buttons (2 black and 2 red colors only)
  • Speakers (2.5" mid-range) with amplifier PCB (2W, Stereo Class D)
  • Choice of power supply (5V or 12V, USA plug only),
  • All misc wiring harnesses, cables, connectors, and hardware.

There's not much to say about this. Its inception is a direct result of everyone asking/emailing me for a 2 player kit. I tried many designs but I opted to stay in the "mini arcade" realm as it's what I do best. Take the JAMMArCADE 1 Player design and widen the front until you can fit a second player control set. So that's what I did. In order to keep the width of front as small as possible, you MUST use Sanwa joysticks with this design. Happ joysticks will not fit.

The intended use for this is a with some type of arcade JAMMA box. You can use a Raspberry Pi, but you will may exhaust all avaialble GPIOs if you do the recommended set-up (2 joysticks + 15 buttons = 23 Inputs). A keyboard encoder is encouraged, but not required.

This kit is a DIY kit that turns your Raspberry Pi (Model B, B+, Pi2, Pi3), or other tiny computer, in a fully functional Mini Arcade. The wood is underlaminate plywood. This wood takes paint well, but proper sanding, filling, priming and painting will result in the best look.

Don't want to use a Raspberry Pi? The cabinet can accommodate small, older video game consoles or single board computers. The joystick and buttons can be hard-wired to the console's controller turning it into a dedicated unit. Or, fit a mini-ITX motherboard or ultra-compact PC inside and it becomes a super powered mini PC arcade. You can also fit a small JAMMA PCB inside, small PCBs like the 60-in-1 boards found on ebay.

This kit fits the Raspberry Pi B (512MB rev 2) B+, Pi 2, and Pi 3 models.
