To read the story of this guy, who is passionate to do something big I am so impressed. He has designed an online recycling system through bikes. The name of product is WeCollect. We also can say that it is a caused base project where poor and needy people will get some benefit in future:

We Collect platform, help the informal collectors recycle safer, better and easier with the bicycles we designed. Our waste bicycles comes with build in waste data monitor, to give the waste value for the collectors, monitor how much waste is collected and give data insights to households and corporates.

The only thing that attracts me toward this product is the vibrant colour it has got! Alas, how long one can maintain that look with all those garbage collection job everyday is my apprehension.

In my country, many rag pickers / junk collectors already use tricycle rickshaws with & without a motor (dunno why they call it a bicycle when it's actually a tricycle!). I think this too is just a garbage or junk collection platform being labelled as recycling platform.

I find its price of over $1000 to be too expensive for people living under $3 a day. Add to it maintenance charges and it becomes an infeasible product. But possibly it's a different scenario in South Africa. Wishing it a success there!

This is just perfect for developing countries. The bicycle is ghe cheapest of all options and you are still collecting all the important data. Rural areas will greatly benefit although large cities will have too much volume for bikes. People can also have some extra income as collectors of recycling material.

It's a great respectable ambition. I I hope it will all work out well 😊

Congratulations!
