Community Poll - Blacklist PolicysteemCreated with Sketch.

in #steemhunt4 years ago (edited)

Steemhunt is running a blacklist system that prevents any users who are involved with the following actions from withdrawing their reserved airdrop HUNT tokens:

  1. Leaving comments multiple times with irrelevant content to receive Steemhunt's upvotes.
  2. Constantly plagiarising content.
  3. Operating alt accounts to abuse any of the Steemhunt voting pool, ranking chart, or airdrop tokens.

On March 20, 2020, Steemhunt team added a 4th criteria (You can check out the details here.

  1. Causing serious risk to Steem blockchain security and sustainability.

And we decided to add the previous Steem witnesses - who launched the HF 0.23.0 to our blacklist. With the fork, they wiped out over 300 account stakes with over 13 million SP, which intentionally split the community apart. Also, we have seen constantly milking/spamming attacks from some HIVE users and this has been caused by the fork initiative directly and indirectly.

As an application running on Steem blockchain, we believe that this initiative has caused a huge risk to Steem sustainability and we have a right to suspend access to the reserved HUNT airdrops to the following accounts in order to protect our community.

  • roelandp
  • netuoso
  • ausbitbank
  • therealwolf
  • followbtcnews
  • stoodkev
  • themarkymark (and his alt - buildawale)

However, we understand that some of our community members may have a different view on this situation and want to express their opinion. So, we have opened this community poll to gather opinions from the HUNT token holders who also have a Steem account (which means only the accounts who have HUNT balance on both the Steemhunt and external wallet).

The voting results are calculated based on the summation of all voted HUNT stakes. The HUNT team members and users who have been blacklisted are not allowed to participate in the voting, and your voting will be recorded on Steem blockchain by using custom_json transaction in order to maintain the transparency.

We will keep the accounts on, or remove them from the HUNT blacklist based on the results of this community poll. Please submit your opinion.

Please join the poll now if you are a HUNT holder and submit your opinion. The voting runs from April 12th, 21:00 KST to 17th, 21:00 KST, 2020.

You can join the poll here:

Updated:
Added buildawhale - an alt account of themarkymark on the blacklist (who already participated in the poll with 72K HUNT, but we will leave the poll record for the integrity).

Well, the funds are not stolen but frozen, and the reason is that the users have violated the terms, or pose a risk to Steem blockchain. I know steemhunt team , and they are one of the decent, dedicated and highly professional individuals on Steem blockchain.

Moreover, no one was stopping you to withdraw your tokens on time. Why didn't you do that, and now playing cry baby?

How did they violate the terms?

The guidelines update was made a day after Steemhunt committed to never support freezing stake. The terms update was not announced either and retroactively punished people.

How are things mate... been a long time. Valued your professionalism.

You cant withdraw funds when they are blocking transactions. I dont see who is playing "cry baby" except for the sour puss little bitches that are sad they didnt get a Hive airdrop.

Hive is a much better place without the SteemHunt "community".

The only risk posed to the Steem blockchain is a bunch of non-technical, uneducated, incompetent witnesses that think they can just make random hardforks to block accounts they dont like.

I will LAUGH MY ASS OFF (literally, my entire ass) when you nerds break the blockchain and beg for assistance reviving it. Only a matter of time.

Even if you are blacklisted, you can still use our platform (posting, upvoting, and commenting), however, you won't be able to get upvoted nor received airdrops by Steemhunt.

However MY already received (and claimed over multiple days) airdrops are blacklisted from withdrawing. This is different.

I am OK with not receiving any further airdrops per your blacklist, however I am not OK with keeping the tokens I already received in the past 3 years, suddenly being frozen.

FROZEN. not blacklisted.

cheers.

What is your next step since you are not OK with it? Asking for the lulz.

Judging from past actions perhaps a fork is to be expected. 😆

I'm quite surprised about finding you here, of all places, being sarcastic.
But, then, I'm also here commenting.

Just to say, hasn't steem become very corrupted?

Just biding my time until my accounts have powered down totally. The sarcasm is probably coming from my utter disappointment of the fork fiasco. My time on Hive is not too much more than weekly. That visit is normally to trade the Hive that has powered down that week for BTC. Hanging on to the powered down STEEM to see what happens with atomic swaps.

Both STEEM and HIVE has proven, in my opinion, that their respected DPoS Governance is corrupted. On STEEM by Mr. Sun and on HIVE by the V.22.2 Cabal.

Does this look like what decentralization looks like to you?

'Unfortunately' there are always people behind projects ;)
About Hive, it's too early to say what position the 'makers' will take.
But I think greed is definately one motivator that Sun and Hive witnesses share.

Having the choice of the lesser evil, I chose to stick with the less coroporate feeling...

I chose to stick with the less coroporate feeling...

That seems the sensible choice in a binary option. My choice is to consider the present experiment(s) with DPoS Governance a failure and continue with powering down my accounts on both chains.

That might be a wise decision!

You didn't seem to mind freezing Justin Suns accounts?
You didn't mind cutting other people out of the HF ?
You didn't mind plundering other peoples accounts?
You didn't mind deliberately preventing a peaceful resolution!
You didn't mind when themarkymark and berniesanders were creating fake flag wars with two of berines alt accounts?
You didn't mind when markymark altered a screenshot taken from steemworld to dupe everyone into believing that that bernies alt account haiejin was taking 2% when it was actually 0.2% of the reward pool?
You didn't mind when I called them out on their fraud and they destroyed my accounts?
You didn't mind when Bernie was spamming dozens of abusive comments every day?
You didn't mind when he was upvoting himself?
You didn't mind when they went back to the fraudulent post and changed the screenshot in an attempt to hide their fraud?
You didn't mind when they were destroying other peoples accounts for sport ?

No you were happy to turn a blind eye to when they changed the rules to enrich themselves and fucked the platform for everyone including themselves and you?

The method of applying blacklist has been the same since the beginning of the project.
Once a user got blacklisted, the user cannot access to the airdropped tokens including the tokens they previously received on their internal HUNT wallet (This was one of the reasons we set the daily withdrawal limit).

So basically, what you are saying. You like to steal from people's wallets, sort of what you are doing as a top 20 witness with Steem tokens.

Gotcha.

I remember that is what you've been doing for ages @themarkymark (or @buildawhale , dam how many accounts do you use) - stealing reward pool from people with bunch of alts and bid-bot businesses.

Been stealing funds from people's wallets? Oh please show the transaction ids.

Lol aka SteemHunt is a scam project and no one should ever buy their shit tokens. That was obvious from day one anyway.

So you unilaterally change the ToS and retroactively take away users funds for violating these? Good thing your token is too small to ever get attraction from regulators. And good luck in the crypto space when you act worse than banks.

hive.blog actually stole every Steem users' content and user data without their ToS agreement and published on their website. Lucky Hive is too small to ever get attraction from regulators! It's a clear copy-right infringement, and I guess the domain owner should be prepared for a class action when the time comes.

I've never seen any banks did a "community poll". I though a stake based voting is the essence of DPoS right?

Lol, hive stole nothing. You just don't understand how blockchainfork works.

The blockchain maybe didn't (it's probably in a grey area), but their website clearly did.

So every steem frontend is stealing?

Website is just displaying blockchain and if you post something to blockchain, you need to understand that anyone can fork it.

Well, I guess people (or Steemit Inc) can "technically" sue other Steem front-end as well but they wouldn't (it's a civil case anyway). I guess the people (or Steemit Inc) definitely would for hive front-ends. Good luck with that.

No, they couldn't. Steemit Inc does not own the blokchain or have any exclusive rights to post content to it.

seems Hive just copied the ToS as well: https://hive.blog/tos.html

So people who write posts on SteemPeak could sue Steemit?

So SteemPeak stole user content? And busy? And esteem? And every other blockchain frontend?

No, you are just proving you are ignorant about blockchains. This is not a surprise.

when did i agree with:
we have a right to suspend access to the reserved HUNT airdrops to the following accounts in order to protect our community.”

and how does “suspending access to the reserved HUNT airdrops” protect the SteemHunt community exactly?

kthxbai

Very disappointing. Never thought Hunt Team would be involved in scamming people out of their assets. You guys used to be my heroes when it comes to honesty, integrity, hard-work, and innovation. This doesn’t fit your character. What you are doing is wrong. Oh well.

I used to like @SteemHunt, good thing I stopped using this scammy platform and I took all my tokens out...

image.png

so you can and will take earned tokens from anyone that you don't like. and you will also do it in future?
i wanted to see how much hunt token i have, but i am not even sure do i want to give you my posting key.

Now this is a "dapp" built for Steem if I ever saw one. A match made in heaven. All the same reasons not to use it are intact.

obviously they did not wipe out your SP... they wiped out your HP? remember its a different chain? why do you care? the hive coin is obviously only as much worth as you give it value. and it seems like your and justins foul play in steem has made people value steem as shit :D look at my acc, i sold most of my steem already.

you can burn this chain down for all i care

Hive on

Sad to see.. but the actions you have taken to withhold personal tokens is theft and you have destroyed you credibility and your token value
