Thank you.

friend of mine told me once about steemhunt but I donno what to do with that @macoolette

Steemhunt plays the biggest part of my Steemit account growth and value.

It is about posting cool, unique and most useful product on steemhunt.com. There is a ranking of products every day and hunters accumulate scores if their product is approved by moderators. If the product is not approved for some reasons, the moderator will put that as a comment on the post and the post will be delisted from Steemhunt website. However, it is still on Steemit and you still receive the payout. You just miss the ranking and possible Steemhunt upvote when your hunt post is delisted.

The usual reason of hunt posts being delisted is if it does not qualify according to the posting guidelines. However, I see some inconsistencies as to how the moderators approve or disapprove hunt posts. Most of the time when my hunt is delisted, I just shrug it off. After all, it is just for a day and you can post again tomorrow.

The ranking is based on the upvotes the hunt gets within 24 hours (from 00:00 to 23:59, Korea Standard Time). The weight of the upvote depends upon the "power" of upvoters and this is something I don't know how it is determined. It is not just about the SP or VP but a combination of that and something else that hunters accumulate using Steemhunt.

I also don't quite understand the scoring for hunters but I just keep on hunting. 😃 See how it is presented here: https://steemit.com/steemhunt/@steemhunt/introducing-new-steemhunt-user-score-now-your-hunt-token-balance-matters

When a hunter reaches a score of 1 (or above) and his/her hunt lands in the top 100, the posted hunt receives upvote from steemhunt and that is significantly big amount as compared to $0.0X upvote values. It is usually X.YZ amount, at least for my hunts that got into the ranking.

There is also ranking of first-level comments on posted hunts. If your comment ends up in the top 100, it is also upvoted by steemhunt. It is of smaller value upvote for comments but is still significant amount because it is usually 0.XY amount. There were times when my steemhunt comment earned more than my long-though of original content post. 😃

It is a bit challenging at first but once you reached a score of 1, it is very exciting to see how your accounts grow when you get into the ranking. Hunter score is not permanently growing up. It can go down for several reasons like you do not have Steemhunt activity for a fairly long time, you are blacklisted from steemhunt, etc. As one hunter advised, look and post for the "coolest, most unique and most useful" product to catch attention of other hunters for their upvotes.

Steemhunt seems a good approach to growing your account without the need of so much time thinking about what to post. This is specially for newbies who have limited RCs. You just need to write a short review of the product on your post.

I invited some people here to do steemhunting to grow their account but I guess it is also a matter in interest. If you are interested, take a look at the posting guidelines and let me know if you have any questions. I would be happy to help in any way I can.

Edit: By the way, there are also influencers on Steemhunt. They scout for undervalued hunts and boost those hunts to still receive the steemhunt upvote even if the hunt does not get into top 100. I had few hunts that got steemhunt upvote even if those are on 100++ ranking. Thanks to the influencers.
