the lidar is a tech made for self driving vehicles that enables them to see through all types of weather conditions such as rain,snow,fog.
normal self driving cars uses optical system to distinguish between object, but this could cause a lot of problems when the environment isn't clear enought for a visual system to see through, the lidar uses laser technology that allows it to see through all weather conditions. this system can see objects of up to 54meters away.

It is important for self driving cars to distinguish between these bad weather conditions and regular obstacles, to crown the full effectiveness of the Technology.

cool! I just made a post about self driving car 2 days ago and of course i was doing some research also because the topic is interesting but i even dont think about this.
And actually this is the most important for health amd safety. Just cant wait to see this in action even i am sure i will be not a self driving car user because i like driving so much😁 But i wanna try what is the feeling 😊 Anyway i am sure these cars with this system will be much more safe like we human drivers in those conditions. I am just curious what if the human driver met a self deiving car how the self driving car can manage dangerous situations.

A nice solution for self driving cars.This technology can make a self driving car see through fogs,rains and bad weather.It can see objects from 54 meter away.

This will be an important feature to have for the future of autonomous cars. It will be vital to use the most accurate tech to navigate safely through our roads. From my understanding, laser is much more accurate than optical and combining multiple technologies will acheive the greatest accuracy. Good hunt @xplore
