Great Steemit Tool - Steemify App
Are you using the Steemify App? Let me tell you, it is a gamechanger!
I have been using the app for a couple of months and love it. My steemit friend, @raised2b made the first post I saw on this app, so I am grateful for his tip and want to pass along my experience and recommendation as well.
Essentially, the Steemify app is a way to receive notifications when things happen that you want to know about. One of the benefits of a public blockchain is the ability to pull data for apps like this. You do not need to give the app your posting/private keys either, so there is no security risk as well!
I currently have the app notify me when the following happens:
- I receive an upvote/downvote (tells me the percentage as well)
- Someone starts/stops following me
- There is a comment on one of my posts
- My username @brian.rrr is mentioned in anyone else’s posts/comments
- Someone transfers steem/sbd to my wallet
I try to post each day, so I am usually keeping an eye out for activity on the latest couple of posts – if someone were to comment on a post that is 3-5 days old, I might otherwise miss their comment if not for this app.
It is also helpful to track the activity of others, should you choose to do so. For example, I love reading the blog of @hanshotfirst but he does not post every day. Therefore, I have the Steemify app notify me when he makes a new post so I can go check it out right away. It ends up being a good way to keep tabs on your favorite steemians as activity feeds can be hard to wade through sometimes.

Ok, I am currently about to download this. I have been looking for a tool like this for the past little while. I tried esteem with very little success. I also tried Steemification through the google app store but that doesn't work properly either. The only way I currently see what has happened is I look at the steemitd.com site and see what has happened and then go looking. This has been a painstaking process. Especially as a new user who is trying to keep up with things efficiently. I like the idea that you can choose specific blogs to be notified of postings for. You are absolutely right that this is a game changer. I am pretty stoked right now. I will reply back later with my experience. Thanks for sharing.

Less than an hour after downloading I have found Steemit heaven!!!the notifications are great but the fact that I can read the posts, upvote and comment right through the app is AMAZING!!! Thanks so much @brian.rrr

Whaaat!! I hadn't heard of it before now, but I will definitely be downloading it. You have to use several different apps on steemtools.com to get all of that done. It will be awesome to have all in one place!
For sure I do use this super app from the @blockbrothers! And soon available for Android as well ! Jihaa!!!
So, that's why I couldn't find it! Can't wait until it releases!
Nice tip! We just started (my partner and I share acct) using Gina bot which has same notification functions. I totally agree how useful it is! There's so much data moving through the steem blockchain, it's a big help to have the data you need delivered to you. Thanks for sharing, I'll check out the app.

I was excited when I read it, but now a bit disappointed, because I would need an app like that, but I don't have an iPhone. Or am I missing something?
I think it is supposed to be on the android App Store soon so keep your eye out! That does stink that it isn’t there yet... I had no idea until I made this post that it was only available in the Apple App Store 😬
hello greetings friend @brian.rrr I hope you are good, it seems an incredible application because it is very useful, and it is perfect because if you download it on the phone then if we are not active in steemit either because we are busy doing something else, this application notifies us everything that happens in our account. I had no knowledge of this wonderful application, but thanks to you brother and I know her, and without a doubt when it comes available for Android devices I will download it. Excellent friend publication, thanks we learn new things every day.

I don't think they actually have it for android. I checked and couldn't find it. Maybe they're still rolling it out.
I did sign up for GINAbot and it has totally changed how I Steemit. I know in real-time what is going on. I don't have to keep going back to the replies page to check when people reply, I get a notification on Discord. Sounds like it's similar.
I have never heard about this tool but it sounds absolutely convenient, it is sometimes you are busy with other things and have not time to go to Steemit and see what new happens. I know how myself sometimes you miss to respond to the comments because you have not noticed, but the other person may be thinks that you ignoring him. I can't stop wondering how the human brain can think everything out, those people their are brilliant! Thanks for hint!

Steemit postings so you won’t miss out on anything important to you. YOU don't need to do the regular checking for posts and upvotes, it gives you a notification for same. Making things easy for steemians :)
