Delegation of resource credits... In process...

It has been a month since the Hardfork 20th of Steem Blockchain and to everyone's satisfaction, Spam has been decreasing thanks to the implementation of resource credits, but this was not the only thing that was achieved. Unfortunately the new accounts or accounts with a small amount of Steem power have been a bit affected and none of the parties interested in Steem want it...

The technique and/or logic that was used to decrease Spam in Blockchain, I explained it in an easy to understand way in this publication but basically it is about giving you a limited amount of resource credits (depending on the amount of Steem power you own) to interact on the platform, that is, if you have a very small amount of Steem power the number of actions you can do is very limited.

¿How do you increase the amount of resource credits?

Currently, to do this in a fast way without waiting for organic growth (making publications) you have 2 options.

  • Powering up
  • Acquiring a delegation.

The first option let's say it's not viable because we don't have enough money to buy a significant amount of Steem and then do power up, so we keep the second and is to get a delegation of a user of the platform either in a contest ;) or because you have a friend with a large amount of Steem power and he can delegate a part.

Both options are quite viable but...

¿What is the "problem" of making a delegation?

Unfortunately the value of your vote is going to decrease because this is a parameter that is used to calculate it, and we all here know how important it is to have an important (or high) vote value so delegating is certainly a disadvantage.

So, uh...

¿How can I help a minnow without this affecting me?

Delegating resource credits. It's that easy!

Doing so is not going to harm you at all because resource credits is not a parameter that is used to calculate the value of the vote and since you are a user who has a large number of them (RC), you will not have to worry after having made some delegation, obviously if you do not go beyond generous :p

The above I can say with property because I am a user who has 1200 Steem power and the bar that indicates the status of my resource credits does not fall below 98% despite being a person who publishes and makes comments every day.

This is a function that is not yet enabled but as we can read in this publication that has made @holger80 is already working on something called "delegation group".

The information is quite technical and is not so explanatory for users who do not know about programming but what is understood is that a user is going to have the ability to delegate resource credits to a certain "delegation group" and I suppose that the person in charge of managing that group will be able to make the respective delegations to users who need it or could even create a lease of resource credits jejeje but obviously it would be cheaper than renting Steem power.

If you are wondering why they have not included user-to-user delegation? Perhaps it is because this would again facilitate Spam and abuse of users towards the platform and therefore us. This is the answer that has occurred to me for the moment, I do not know if later they decide to place that function..... We have to wait for more information.

I hope that this post has clarified a little more the current situation of the platform and if so, do not hesitate to click the reesteem button for more people to read it. See you next time with more information about this update.
