One could draw several correlations from it...

a) the community is acting just as any habit does, or anything chartable does...it's reached a level of resistance. Some impetus needs to break it.

b) the last spike was probably due to the escalating value of SBD/SP/Steem. Another move up would likely be the impetus that breaks that resistance. The opposite applies too.

c) I could go to Z but I think A and B are the most likely reasons. but with that said....

Stability in unique visitors is actually a good thing. It means users are using the platforrm. So perhaps this 'resistance' is a good thing.
