Will the 'VIEWS' Indicator Ever Return to Our Posts???
I miss that 'views' counter that was removed from the platform a few months ago. Supposedly, it was not keeping count correctly according to the explanation given.
Am I alone in wondering 'why' it hasn't returned yet 'fixed', or perhaps 'never' to be seen again? Does anyone else here miss it as well?
It was a valuable tool, helping with analysis of posting effectiveness.
I assumed that they removed the views counter because sometimes it made Steemit look like it lacked engagement. Often times I would have 20 to 30 upvotes and only 1 or 2 views. I think these were mostly upvotes from steemfollower and steemengine. But a few of these votes could also have been coming from people mindlessly upvoting stuff in their feed without bothering to actually read it.
I suspected the 'same' thing when it was removed; I don't believe the explanation offered. I think it was nefarious in nature.

Didn't know there was a view indicator back then.. I guess that's one of the downsides of not being among the first Steemians haha
The views indicator was 'removed' only a few short months ago. I was not among the 'first' steemians here either; not quite a year yet ; )
