Steempress- The Internet Raised to Power Steem.
Not many people are aware of the change that is about to take the internet by storm.An internet where blockchain technology has an important role to play in removing the monopoly enjoyed by the wealthy one percent by decentralizing the internet. An internet for the people by the people just as Tim Berners-Lee had envisioned.
Leading this charge is a wordpress plugin called steempress-io by the steem blockchain technology.
Steempress brings the functionality obtainable on the steemit platform to the author's wordpress website.How it works is that the author shares his content on both his self hosted website and the steemit account merged to it and gets followership, tokenized upvotes and resteems, a way for users to show their sign of approval or disapproval of the author's content.
For now the current version of @Steempress-io plugin doesn't support the upvoting of comments directly from the website,the only feature it supports presently is the sharing of posts to steemit. In subsequent versions the upvote feature would be added.
Authors now have the ability to reward their followers or subscribers with tokenized upvotes when they leave engaging comments on his/her posts incentivizing repeat visits to the blog site and attracting more visitors eager to get in on the action and are more likely to hit the subscribe or follow button making it an effective traffic and lead generation tool.
Ofcourse to get comments and curation rewards, the new subscribers would have to sign up for a steemit account boosting the steemit userbase that's if steemit.inc has solved the delayed sign up process currently plaguing the site now .As businesses always follows the crowd, you would see a large percentage of websites including those owned by companies and corporations installing the steempress plugin .
Steem would increase in price maybe 1 steem would exchange for $100 as a result of the mass adoption of steem by the new wordpress users. Steemians who had the foresight to invest in steempower will be the ones smiling all the way to the bank in the nearest future.So take action now.

Maybe finally the idea of a universal basic income will become a reality when people start getting paid for curating content on the web while being entertained and educated online all thanks to a wordpress plugin that changed how we interact with the world wide web.
