Steemit trouble ?

Today Block.One from EOS announced that they will soon be releasing a social media platform on the EOS network called voice, this of course is not the best for steemit as its added direct competition but not only that, a part of why I feel steem has not been making much movement on the markets primarily due to lack of developments from the team, and I think EOS is responsible Daniel Larimer the technical brains behind steemit moved on to work on EOS and I think its fair to assume that some steem developers followed, and now with this new social media network it could cause further complications.

I still have lots of hope for steemit and think that with something like SMT (Smart Media Tokens) steem has potential to secure a healthy future.

What are your thoughts on this situation and the future of steem and steemit?
