Reccomedation/ Proposal [Notifications for followers on Steemit ]

We all have received varying gifts from Steemit

It's almost Christmas and we are in the spirit of giving. We can all testimony that in one way or the other, Steemit has given to us.

We've benefitted gifts of friends, gift of money and gift of ideas. Gifts of angelic strangers.

But the central question should be, how can we give back to Steem?

A lot of us have found ways to reciprocate what we've received in such ways as by :

voting for witnesses who work day and night to endure innovation and smooth running of the blockchain
Spreading the good word of Steemit to thousands of humans for instance what @tojukaka is pulling off in Uyo.
Mentoring newbies and showing them the way around. Etc

But there's an extra way we can serve Steemit and that is by reviewing the interface from time to time and making reccomendations. This is the purpose of this post.

Why notification for followers ?

A notification for followers is important to track your followership.

Yes! It is true it's relatively easy to know if you've been followed or unfollowed by someone but wouldn't it be much, much better to get a "red dot " each time you have a new follower?

I'm aware that there's a site where you can see people who recently followed you but you can't really look up their profile directly from that site. It would be much, much better to access from the interface.

This would enable one to keep track of his friends and better interact with people. It would also save one from the feeling that he followed a page he saw and like but was not followed back in return.

Humans make up Steemit. Humans matter. This would go a long way in enhancing blog community building and effectiveness.
