One year ago I landed on Steem Blockchain through Steemit. I'm not sure how I came here exactly, I think it was while looking for crypto info. I was attracted for post rewards and wanted to know more about it. I asked for my free account that I think lasted some days before being created. I instantly made a post about a great song cover but I didn't do any more posts for a couple of weeks. Then I though on focusing my posts only on music (mostly rock & blues). I started posting every day (Song Of The Day was one my favorite kind of posts) but there were little rewards. It was until the first well paid posts when I started to see it could be a great place. I started thinking on how I could win rewards in a faster way and yes, I used some bots to do it, but as Plankton, it wasn't significant. It was very difficult to gain the first 50 Steem.

After this I though it would be great to buy some Steem to Power Up, so I did it a couple of times, the first one was 720 Steem at 0.90$ (on June 2018), and the second one 1.079 Steem at 0,38$ (on November 2018). So, at the moment I'm loosing a 67,67% and 24,47% respectively. Well, I hope it will go above 1$ and then to the moon!!

For the most part of my days in Steem blockcahin it was only about Steemit, but I started to discover dApps and other front ends. Some of the tools I've used:

@actifit I hope I had some more time to do exercise and be rewarded for it! I'm sure that rewards for healthy activities will grow in the near future and hope Actifit can be there on the first line. Sincronising it with FitBit is a first big step.

I also love using Steemblockexplorer by @penguinpablo. It has been the most useful tool to know what's happening in my account from my first days here. A really great job!

95% of my posts have been about music. During this time I've had interection with some nice Steemians. Some of them are not active anymore. Let me list some of whom I've been interacting:

I try to be under 10% self-voting, don't want to abuse of it, but certainly I need to upvote myself to earn some rewards. I also use @smartsteem to not loose my upvotes when they pass the line of the 96%, so I know that if I'm disconnected my upvotes will be used in another way and I won't loose rewards. To feel better, I only use @smartsteem upvotes with whitelisted Stemians.

As you can see, I have a nice amount of upvotes from @steevc whom I sent three guitar picks for his collection and @czechglobalhosts aka Tomas. Must say that @czechglobalhosts helpt me grew a lot on my first days as I had a nice collection of Prague and Czech Republic photos from my trips there and he is giving big upvotes everyday.

I'm also receiving upvotes from @contestkings as I've joined their proposal of doing contests with: 👊 No Upvote, No Follow, No Resteem Required! A great idea that I have incorporated on my weekly contest.

And finally, let me talk you about my Album Covers Weekly Contest: This week I've just done the 50th round of the contest. First rounds hadn't any pattern, but after some weeks I started posting the contest every Wednesday and started giving the prizes every Monday. I've changed rules some times trying to find the best way to engage people. Prizes have gone from 0.5 Steem or SBD to 4 Steem (yeah, this week I'm giving 4 Steem). Making a fast calculation, I can say that I've given to other Steemians about 100 Steem or SBD (now the prize of Steem is at 0.30$ but months ago it was about 4.30$. I'm happy to have given these prizes and more happy to have engaged lovers of good music. I'm a rock & blues fan, and I've shared really nice comments with fantastic people.

And now... what?

Well, must say that I have dramatically decreased posting habits. I would like to post everyday but it's difficult to find time, well time has to be stolen from other activites so I have to choose. If some months ago, earnings used to encourage me to post more and more, now it's more difficult to see this side of the platform. But I still believe in it, I like to read nice comments from other Steemians about the music I share, the music I recommend... I also like to see how some brains are burning trying to find the original Album Covers from the contest. It's all about enjoying the platform, it's all about sharing knowings. I remember trying to engage friends to join Myspace, Napster, Audiogalaxy, eMule, Facebook or Instagram among others. Hope someday I can remember how I tried to introduce my friends to Blockchain tools like Steem interfaces and dApps. And if we all go to the moon, we can have a beer and listen to Pink Floyd at the Dark Side.
