My Idea To Potentially Seek Opportunity For A Steemit Messenger App
Hey Steemians so over the last few days I have been thinking about how fast the Steemit community has grown and that it is awesome to earn some money at the same time, but what if Steemit could have a messaging app like whatsapp or telegram for example and we get an opportunity to also earn Cryto by using the Steemit messaging app, wouldn't that be awesome?
I am a person that looks for potential and growth, as well as opportunities. I honestly would enjoy seeing a Steemit messenger app it will also make life a lot easier. Would it be a possibility going forward with the potential of also earning Cryto when utilizing the app. This is just an idea of mine and wonder if anyone else would also like to see Steemit introduce something like this.
I see this more as a business opportunity to further grow the community and I would love some feedback from the community based upon their views and opinions regarding my idea.
While initially the idea sounds fantastic...then we must come to earth again and think hard...do we really want our messages to be able to be read forever with no way to remove them after 7 days? That is what the STEEM Blockchain is, essentially a FOREVER storage vault that may (or may not) reward us with STEEM/ SBD or SP along the way.
While the opportunity to get rewards for interaction (which the Tax departments could also find) we must think hard about our privacy and the issues that a public blockchain presents.

Thank you @chrizflex I do think that my idea has a lot of potential.
Most steemians just use discord or steemit.chat while it may not be the perfect intergrated system like facebook has with messenger we're still able to get our messages across and create community subsets
Indeed so but also remember that Discord has it's own platform and you are unable to earn any kind of rewards or crypto from it. Hence why I suggest Steemit develops a messenger that will allow that. However I do appreciate your input I am aware of Discord I use it all the time for gaming but it is not really a suited platform for the Direction Steemit is heading in because they have combined cryptocurrency with blogging and that would be a good integration for a app.
Ah i get what you're saying i'm sure it will eventually form part of the ecosystem, 3rd party applications are still finding their feet on the blockchain and the reward system is the main issue that needs to be dealt with before delegations can be done to support these new features.
But Im pretty sure it will get there eventually :)
