AREAL STATION - 1905 Office and tram stop in Areal, on the banks of the Tietê River, at the end of Ponte Grande. The Areal station was probably installed in the 10s, when the first section of the Guarulhos branch was opened, up to the current Jaçanã. The branch left from this station. The building was only built in 1927, before there was only a stop there with a tiled roof. From 1964 onwards, it became the starting point; of the line, with the deactivation of the section from Rua João Teodoro. In December of that same year, the station was deactivated due to a collapse between it and the Parada Inglesa station, on the Guarulhos branch, and was never reactivated. Shortly afterwards, work began on widening and paving Avenida Cruzeiro do Sul and it was demolished. It was more or less at the height of the current Carandiru Metro station, on Avenida Cruzeiro do Sul, just before the corner with General. Ataliba Leonel, on the right side of those going to Santana.

The history of the city of São Paulo occurs parallel to the history of Brazil, over approximately 470 years of its existence, compared to more than five hundred years of the country's existence. I'll share some images with you here on Steemit over time, I hope you like them.
