It's happening because the ponzi scheme is starting to wrap up for some of the big users. The account freedom is cashing out all kinds of funds, the other day he cashed out 5k SBD. Must be nice huh?

I’ve seen quite a few big authors form when I started go into hibernation and just sell votes or delegate and get passive income and extract it monthly
Great for them I suppose, flooding the market with cheap Steem! If you check out some of the sell orders on binance and Bittrex there are some huge amounts 10k up waiting to be taken I can already see big buy orders at 19 cents which it looks likely well get to!
There’s still plenty of shit coins running and plenty of market consolidation to be had so if steem can stick it out and ride the wave it could be one of the projects all this idle value starts to flow into or so I hope
