Resteem ? Do we earn by Resteeming ?

Hello Steemitains,
I actually understand that resteeming any posts is just simple as we share other's post on our own Facebook Timeline, or we retweet other's tweet on our own Twitter account.
But what I get confused here can we earn by resteeming here on steem platform? If yes than how much we can earn ?

    No, you can't make a living. I have a voting power of a little over 3500 (which would cost you about $4000) and my full upvote power is around 50 cents. Now if you buy a lot of Steem AND make consistently good content you could make a decent amount.
