Venom 2 is officially launched and confirmed villain

SONY starts with the production of Venom 2 and we already know some news

According to Variety, they are already preparing the screenplay for the movie Venom 2, by the writer of the original Kelly Marcel (Fifty Shades of Gray, To the Meeting of Mr. Banks). The first details we know indicate that Tom Hardy will repeat the role of Eddie Brock / Venom, just as Michelle Williams will be Anne Weying again. The big news is that Woody Harrelson we saw in the post-credit scene will have the role of the main villain as Cletus Kasady / Carnage (Slaughter).

The one that probably will not repeat is Ruben Fleischer, since he will be busy with the Zombieland sequel and he was not very happy with the final editing of the film studio. Despite the criticism that shattered the film and the performance of Tom Hardy, the film grossed more than $ 855 million worldwide. So SONY is expanding his Spiderverse with Morbius and Kraven.

Will Venom 2 introduce Spider-Man?

After the success of Spider-Man: A new SONY universe, maybe it would be interesting if they introduced Miles Morales as the spiderman. So we would have Peter Parker in Marvel Studios and another Spider-Man in the films of Venom. Although this question will surely not solve it, leaving the door open until the end.

We must remember that they want to make a symbiote trilogy. Venom 2 will surely follow the same line as the original, as it will have action, decent special effects and some humor. But now with a great villain behind that will threaten the lives of the protagonists. Hopefully, they will give us more details soon.

There is still no official date for the premiere of Venom 2, but it will probably be in October 2020. So they will repeat in the same month that such a good result gave them for the first delivery.
