The Quiet Stranger : My Experience With A Police Detective

A very quiet man just moved in to our neighbourhood few weeks ago, as I stumbled back from the gym on Saturday he asked why I was looking so tired and frail, and I replied him saying that's what the gym will do to you when you last visited.

He invited me to his house latter in the evening and I obliged,his room has a simple setting like someone planing to leave his dwelling the next minute Just a chair,table and a bed .One plate, one spoon and a kettle is what you'll call a kitchen setting.

We entered into politics and and delved into the crime rate in the neighbour hood.he particularly wants to know what was going on around the hood as most will call it. And I became suspicious when he kept asking about a particular man who lives close by,when he leaves his house , what he does for a living , and his friends I told him the little I know, we Said good night and I left .

Few days latter the tactical quiet neighbour was arrested for drugs .And it occurred to me that I have just snitched as most young urns will call it.

Have I impacted in my environment? Even though I felt bad I still feel a little bit fulfilled and it happens that the man that invited me over was a police detective what a twist and the quiet neighbour has been peddling drugs, what an irony.
