Steemit Payout Q & A
Post paid even though I watched it drop in value all week long it also said I would be paid a set amount... 186 hu...
This adds up to $165 leaving $21 steem short? Can anyone explain how this happens? Good explanations get upvotes.

The explanation is that the pay out shows dollars but is paid out in steem so you SP and steem pay is 159 but in dollars that is actually multiplied by the rate so like 175 plus your steem dollars.
Today at payout steem is 1.02 us dollars and sbd 1.01.... 🤔

@dynamicrypto, I may be wrong but in my opinion Steem do not directly traded with the USD, and inturn the value is based upon equation of Steem = Bitcoin Rate and Bitcoin = USD Rate. So, i think that can be the reason while estimation it's directly compared with the USD rates but Steem don't have direct trade with USD so, while payout the calculations may be different. In my opinion more experienced people can put the clarity but i think this way. Stay blessed. 🙂
