Community that Enriches and Empowers its Individuals to contribute to Society
Make it Clear to other's that Steemit is not;

People can be ignorant especially to new things , because they will try to be INFORMED instead of just OPINIONATED , but with today's uncertainty we need to be more careful of how we try to promote ideas
Many people especially those who have little understanding of Blockchain Technology , will doubt Cryptocurrency because dont SEE the potential Benefit of its unique Implications
But Steemit is Different because they get to interact with the Blockchain like never before by SEEING what is in front of their Screen , a better Social Approach however many don't see the potential of this Community , so their primitive minds will label it as some sort of Ponzi scam in order to spread negativity because they themselves don't even understand fundamentals behind it. Many People won't invest Time or Money in projects that are to complicated to understand this creates negativity because there is a lot of Doubt
The Steemit Community will clear any Doubts you have over the Project and if you just give it a chance , we
know that many people will feel enlighten after having found and been introduced to an Elite Social Group

It is true what you are pointing out. Nobody will solve your problems but yourself. But I guess some people feel a relief when sharing their problems with others, which is a good outcome. Also, when I read some stories I realize that people are facing some bigger issues than I (currently) am and I feel more thankful for the life I live. I do not have same experience with Facebook - not as much honesty as here.
