Steemit Guide # 3: Importance of TAGS

Proper tags can attract people similar to your interest based on what you've posted. The first tag is the most important of all because you can't edit it anymore. You can have 5 tags  and 4 of those tags can be edited, so be sure to put tags relevant to your post.

Don't use tags that is not related to your post just to take advantage of it, your posts might be flag or steemians will downvote your post, your reputation might get low and rewards will be lower too.

If you have the correct tags, you have a good potential to earn rewards, so better do it right.  Aiming to earn further on a new popular post can give you benefits and more exposure. 

When people read and like your content, they are more likely to view your post and vote other of your posts too. If you write high quality content but isn't in the proper tagging, your content will go down among thousands  of new posts coming out.

It might take a few minutes to create a good tagging strategy but it will give you an extra boost if you do it right!
