Steemit Won't Last, Steemit A Ponzi Scam?

One of my really good friends on here told me today that this platform is to good to be true and he is cashing out because of the latest rumors that the Steemit platform might be a ponzi scam. After doing some research into it, i found some individuals are questioning how are they able to pay out new users from content that is generated each day.

Some crypto currency experts argue that the company is printing money out of thin air like a stock market, while others say that the platform charges a fee, for transactions and are passing on part of that back into the voting pool. Check of this video below and judge for yourselves.

As long as people keep signing up to this platform and investing money, the platform has value, however if the company is creating money out of thin air pay out people each day then eventually the Steem Dollars will go down in value.
I must admit that i love this platform however i do not know the logistics of it and i hope that this platform don't end up being like Bitconnect. Remember guys only invest what you are willing to loose, if it seems to good to be true its probably not.
