RE: Daily Steem Price Update 14/8/2019

in #steemit5 years ago

simon-san says ... the price since day one , doesn't that give you a headache daily in the last year or so, lol ?

ive seen it go down about 1 cent DAILY for a while now, which is not natural, financial charts do NOT behave in steady patterns , if they do it's artificial ... :)

even a sideways chart goes wild within a range like a 16bit windows pcm (.wav) file displayed, so someone somewhere is deliberatly either strangling it slowly or under the delusion that a slow sell-off hurts less heh

... i think they're seriously on the wrong path with the idea that "the masses" will do it for them, gravely over-estimating the will and abilisty of "the masses" to do so ... it's the entrepreneurs, and even here that's the 1% , there's plenty of people with money here who COULD if they did, run business straight off of the steemchain but don't ... they just hold and hodl steem and talk a lot about it ... the "masses" then, dont even had wads of cash pro capita ... and they certainly won't go around door to door selling your business for you, they provide bulk, which is what advertisers, investors and potential business partners (read : other companies you provide PAID service for) want to see ...

the hardfork ? i don't think that's a saviour and if anything not much of an up-grade either but i'll see it when it's up and running

and btw

for all the support on morgan, i hope maybe to see you as a player when i get the game live (somewhere around 2050 or 2100, lol ...)

It does give me a headache sometimes but I do enjoy doing it but I have admitted many times I do miss writing articles but the problem is I get more atm for just doing the price update but hardfork21 could change this around.
I have always said we dont need the masses we should be targeting people who already hold alot of crypto and are willing to put some on Steem but of course I say everybody is welcome.
As for the hardfork21 itself who knows how it will pan-out I'am not really in savour of it the change seems to make the Steem we are currently holding worth less making it more difficult to sell, honestly not sure how fully this curation will work, it could make it all be better in the end but who knows.
As for the game lol well I like to play games and so curious to see what you create.
Thanks for the supprt @goldmanmorgan and sharing your view on various topics here.

I have always said we dont need the masses we should be targeting people who already hold alot of crypto and are willing to put some on Steem but of course I say everybody is welcome.

as you say , big money for the hyper-inflation seems to be more logical than one billion people with 1 dollar each to spend on it, let alone explaining a social network like this where you can basically post nothing on a standard account due to the RC . People already with money need to create entrypoints because on average any individual we shall hereby label 'the masses' , i dont think is willing to pay for what to them is in essence nothing more than another facebook clone. You have to find use for it and not everyone is an entrepreneur and last time i checked around , even here, some people have actual daily lives (lol yea well ...) so time is a factor as well. Things like steemmonsters are probably a great example of entrypoints but ultimatt the unbeatable and his sidekick there (o dear ... i probably shouldnt say it like that but no malice intended, it's just how the pop-charts looked last time i looked) have made sure their revenue is not based on the steem price directly, neither does blocktrades, and those three are pretty much titans here, even if they had the golden months where it was raining tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars and they got a little starter cash to boot from there, they're still all doing it.
I havent read enough on the HF to voice much about it but what i read so far i interpreted as if you have five or six zeroes to spend you can curate and there will be work offers which will lead to a select circle of who-knows-who getting most of it and that's not a sneer on my behalf, its just how i see society and humanity so steemit here, little pond and little niche gets no exclusion from that.
But we'll see ... i asked myself a few times if instead of trying to patch and counter the hyperinflation it wouldnt possible to revert, no ... CONvert to a capped or pegged system but i would not know how lol (for lack of huge investors that is) i mean the dollar can do it, if they think its not in place they just print some more (although lately there's news reaching even me that they might have mistaken that bit to a certain extent) ...
As for the game, i dont wanna make hype or promises b/c i cant its just me and i dont keep this schedule or anything. I just hope i can create something i can give myself a little backpat for, that might be alluring to some people and in the end get me some of that much-needed snickers-money while in the same process fertilizing my feeding grounds ... lofty goals :)
and thank YOU @simonjay

Yes I believe if we go after the people who already own some crypto they would have a much easier time with Steem, more-than all those who still don't have any crypto nor heard of it. I agree convincing people to use Steemit with RC's being a barrier to many is difficult when you can get free similar experiences on facebook as people don't understand yet the technical advantages or benefits of Steem but Steem-monsters is indeed a great example of adding real value. Well anybody who can make a game on their own needs a backpat I continue to be curious about it plus feel the blockchain needs another good game to get more interest.

I think we'll be seeing a few before mine hits "the shelves" lol. This arcade thing that was featured lately ... euhm ... hold on lemme look that up
@megacity ... is one, and theres @drugwars ofcourse and im sure there's plenty going on at micro-level too but not everyone gets to just google up some php and javascript and start 'hacking' it lol , and maybe if i were structured people zone #1 would be playable by now but well , most i see is gambling so far as that's pretty easy, : send sbd , the timer catches the transaction, generates a random number : 1) you have won , 2) you have lost , send back /not ... but there will be legal hassle with that if they dont look up the nine billion rules of doing business in the E.U. lol ... i still fear 'the right to be forgotten' might bite 'em in the arse here too , and i sure hope not cos i would really not appreciate having to come in under disguise of a vpn as a "non-eu-citizen" , that's all assuming they survive the current i dont know what to call it, its not an identity crisis, its certainly trying but it feels so desperate. Mass-onboarding is a definite means but its a means, not an end, its a means to get numbers, numbers that look good to potential big-advertisers and maybe even investors heh but i think they should push the free transaction thing there .. .i said a few times before in a few places if this were my thing i would be stalking Gabe Newell from steam/valve for an exclusive deal on micropayments or even adoption to use as payment to buy Steam Store items. They gave up on BTC (no wonder b/c the tx fees and the bumps in high and low) but this thing has none (and atm no bumps to speak of either so given a conversion back to dollar fee thats included in the price and VAT ofc.. it has nothing but extra advantage and options)

not to mention "in-game" micropayments ... but for some reason mass-adoption is seen (or sounds to me like) 'bring a friend and some money' .. as if 100.000 people with a €20 each will make a dent after the next sell-off, right ?

And as you say, who the hell (thats my lingo ofc) would wanna pay to post puppies and then even not be able to post as many as they want to AND risk being downvoted if they spend money to expand ... it's absurd that part, the expectation, i mean , or at least the way they try to sell it sounds.

But way, if it keeps going this way , maybe you , a few other loco's and interested oddballs like me (not referring to you, its up to you to define yourself lol) can put up one STEEM each and offer to buy the company b/c that's what it will be worth at this curve, sadly ... and i hope im very wrong and i hope i stand corrected and will have to apologize by christmas :D but even if ... its still too nice a toy to play with (so yea i took an account just for talking so the utility accounts dont get mixed up with my personal opinions and also cos its gonna be easier to just look in one spot heh)

o wait a minute

maybe that's what they're trying : it's a whale conspiracy to take over Steemit Inc at the lowest possible price, maybe even in cahoots with Justin Sun and Jack Ma lol ... o wait that would actually euh ... well hm ... yea well, n/m

ehm ... i could even go further in my subversive heresy and say that
if i were the boss-man i would at this moment be considering making an offer to Justin Sun himself to buy 49% of the company , ... 49% and put some of those billions and that marketing genius to work incorporating Tron and his image with a much-needed utility , to save my minions so their families can eat next year ...

but ... i assume that would mean "admitting defeat" or something instead of "maybe millions in a year or two" and one has to be careful in a tribal environment or

yah, definitely a good idea to get this yapping account heheh ... see you around then ... gtg get my meds so i stay nice and quiet
