What's Going On With Steemit Inc.?
I recently read a post by @therealwolf, which I must admit, left me with some real concerns about the future of Steemit. The major transfer of crypto assets away from the platform, especially without clarification as to why such a move is necessary for the overall health of the ecosystem, leaves one with a degree of concern and uncertainty. I've been an active on the platform since 2017 and very much wish to see this it, as well as the various contributing third-party projects (DTube, DSound, etc.), succeed.
There are some really smart and talented people within the Steemit community and I'm convinced that if the company leadership would engage these people to fullest extent possible, a number of viable solution to help the company along the path towards success can be found. However, open and honest communication is the key.
Finally, to mitigate the risk of FUD, company leadership must do a much better job of communicating where the company stands health wise and what actions are in place to address the most serious problems.
It would be a shame to see the company suffer and just wither away.
The only permanent thing is change and it seems as if nothing good lasts forever. Let's just keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best but prepare for the worse!
