For me, I think the biggest impact is how it helps me step out of my comfort zone. Before Steemit, I'm usually way more reserved in terms of sharing my thoughts to the world. Now, I'm less afraid of judgment and more appreciative of the feedback.
yees you are right, you even made a video for a challenge and i remember you said you haven't done this ever so you exceeded as you said your comfort zone (i far from this video-step though) :P
