Steemauto allows to set a maximum amount of daily votes and the voting to be paused in case voting power go below a specified percentage.

This is actually what I really love about Steemauto(aside from being free). It also rarely have issues about votes going through. I used steemvoter before and like you've said, sometimes the votes go through and sometimes it does not.
