When Will Steemit Become Mainstream?
What will it take for Steemit to become mainstream? I've been thinking about this a lot lately. Steemit is such a revolutionary concept. It's suprising that it isn't more popular. What does it need to compete with other social media sites?
The first thing that comes to mind is an official mobile app. This would make Steemit much more accessible and no doubt attract new users.
Integration into other social media sites would also make a huge difference. The ability to connect other social media to Steemit would increase visibility.
Another thing that would change the paradigm is an automated way to invite social media contacts to join Steemit. Perhaps even provide referral bonuses. Abuse of the referral system could be avoided by by withholding payouts until the referred person has reached some threshold (let's say 50 posts).
