In this video, I talk with Dan Dicks of @PressForTruth about the recent demonetization of countless YouTube channels.
In the past several months, YouTube has really stepped up their game demonetizing those with views that don't fit official establishment narratives. Not only that, but completely non-controversial people doing video game tutorials and play-throughs.

With some of the top YouTubers affected, it was only a matter of time before alternatives would provide the services the customers are asking for and that alternative is here!

As we've gone into before at WAM, DTube provides people a censorship free decentralized alternative to YouTube which has been long awaited.

DTube is powered through Steemit, the decentralized alternative to Facebook!

You get paid by posting your video and if your video gains demand from an audience, people will upvote you and you will make money in STEEM the cryptocurrency.

Dan and Josh dig into why it's necessary and why the future is on the blockchain.

Youtube is shooting itself in the foot with these demonetization of vids. They will regret it. Good news for Dtube though...gotta love the free market.

I can't wait till Youtube starts demonetizing Steemit-related content. It's only a matter of time. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it's happening already.

I foresee a mass exodus from Youtube to Dtube in the coming months and years.

The scariest thing is... all this decentralization is happening on a centralized platform. The big boys still run the internet and now the government doesn't even have to go through a business to gain access to this information, its all public.

That's a good point. Steemit and Dtube are a great step in the right direction but the real solutions are going to be peer to peer and anonymous.

Can't wait for more growth on dtube.

They used to say, "Home Taping Is Killing Music", whereas it in fact promoted it. The biggest loss to copyright is youtube and far more than peer to peer. Dtube is a really important fight back and I wish it all well. Upvoting for the cause.
