"Steem 2.0" is 90% done, competition is coming for steemit
Dan recently stated in a telegram chat that "Steem 2.0", the social network block one is building, is 90% done. Related discussion on reddit
This is bad and good for steemit.
The Bad: It will be a competitor of steemit and will likely take away a lot of users from steemit.
The Good: It will force Steem Inc to ramp up development.
I thought it was his EOS based alternative.
I was wrong.
Will it compete against his EOS alternative too, or does it mean that the EOS alternative is off before it was on?
Steem 2.0 is the EOS based alternative. Its name will be obviously different from steem but it has become a meme to call it Steem 2.0. He said that to imply that it will be better version of steem.

Because (now I recalled) that he intends to compete against BTS too with his EOS platforms, but still why base the "Steem 2.0" on "BTS 2.0" instead of on EOS or on its own subcurrency/token?
