The ways to get income is to publish and Steemit users vote for your content, more votes more revenue, and if the votes come from influential people in Steemit, you will get more income. By default when you create your Steemit account, they give you a certain amount of Steem Power (25) and some SDB, but it's just for you to start the rest of the work.
