Minnow Mentor Delegated SP Investment

This post is about how @minnowmentor investments will work, and make a return for investors as they support the minnow community.

The investment we want is quite simple. We could ask for SBD or STEEM, but it seems clear that because all we want to do is be transparent and minimise investor risk, it seems obvious that the best way forward is to simply ask for delegated SP.

WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DELEGATE STEEM POWER TO THIS PROJECT?

• Because you want to help minnows?
• Because you want to make a profit?
• Because you want to make an investment that supports the long terms health of the Steemit ecosystem?
• Because our expectation is that it could generate a better ROI over a longer term than Minnowbooster?
• Because you just want to give something back to the community?

You will have your own reason. And we want you to realise that this is a project which is 100% transparent, definitely NOT a scam, and which will only help the community.

WHAT WILL MINNOWMENTOR DO AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

Part of what @minnowmentor will do is to give rewards to minnows who are clearly and actively working on improving the quality and originality of their posts. @minnowmentor will only be upvoting minnows who we are supporting through mentoring, and only then only those who are demonstrating they are implementing the feedback from the mentors.

What we want is to gain delegations of Steem Power to provide positive rewards to the minnows who we are mentoring. If you delegate Steem Power you will share in the rewards that the @minnowmentor site earns, without losing anything...all you do is delegate Steem Power to us (which you continue to own and can pull back at any time!)

HOW WILL IT WORK?

We are asking for delegations of Steem Power to support this. This could be in the form of @minnowbooster style loans for a set period of time, or a loan for a longer period which attracts interest based on SBD rewards from upvotes and curation.

Either way, for as long as you delegate Steem Power, you will earn half of the SBD rewards that @minnowmentor makes.

The other half of the SBD will go to the mentors who give up their time to provide the service. Mentors will be vetted, and have a strong reputation already on Steemit.

All new SP earned will stay in the @minnowmentor pot to increase curation rewards for minnows and further improve the scalability of the service.

All SP which is delegated will remain the property of the person that delegated it. They will earn a percentage of the SBD rewards earned by @minnowmentor proportionally equal to the amount of total delegated SP that they have invested.

Payments for delegated SP will be made on a weekly basis normally, although this may change to monthly if the administration of this starts to get a little too much.

WHO IS RUNNING THIS?

Initially @anarcotech (myself) but it may be that I step aside once the service is running and let others take control. There is a discord channel open already, and I invite anyone who may be interested to come and talk there. https://discord.gg/KHnZNf9

I will be recruiting mentors, and they will share in the SBD that @minnowmentor posts earn equally based on the number of minnows they support. Mentors will be expected to demonstrate a high level of activity and certain standards that they adhere to in being selected as mentors. They will also need a certain level of reputation and SP themselves.

I am currently a member of #promo-uk which is a group of Brits actively out there promoting Steemit using a standardised marketing set across the country. This is being coordinated mainly by @stephenkendal and @starkerz although there are others involved too (including myself ovbiously).

My vision is that the only people who will benefit from this programme are:

• the minnows who asked to be mentored
• the mentors who provide great mentoring
• the delegators who provide the SP

By only asking for delegated SP, it takes away the need for a trust-based ecosystem, as no actual money will be invested into the project (only delegated SP which can be withdrawn)

We are also looking for Witnesses and users with a great reputation to be sponsors, who will observe that the platform is operating in a transparent way and occasionally provide an independent overview of what @minnowmentor has been up to.
