Will Steemit Survive? - 327
I dunno.
Right now it doesn't appear like the Steemit Company has a long term sustainable business model. Hopefully it can survive though. Maybe eventually they will take a cut of earnings or something to try and survive. I think cutting expenses was an excellent decision.
On a brighter note it Seems like the Steem blockchain is pretty sustainable and it seems like maybe somebody will come up with a way to interact with it if Steemit company goes under.

Don't they already have it with different UI's?
I think the other UI's rely on Steemit to be able to function. I think the problem is scalability. Big social media sites are very expensive to run.
Aren't the witnesses roles to provide the servers so that Steemit runs fine? They always seemed to be rewarded well. I would hope that if they were overpaid that they would stick around and recommend changes to get steemit back to a powerful platform.
Nope they just do the blockchain stuff but no website. Steemit probably does like 99% of the work and loses money.
Let's hope Steemit survives. Right now it's the most expensive social media site that exists when taking onto account how many users it got. Something needs to happen.
Yeah it seems like right now they are going to try and cut expenses when it is too late. :(

Something. I think one ad on the main page wouldn't hurt things. They could sell it to the top bidder for the day.
The quicker steemit moves on and does one thing the quicker steem can move on.
