Week 5: #introduceyourself Curation Post
It has been another interesting week in the #STEEM ecosystem as we are now less than a week away from Hard Fork 20! As we approach the Hard Fork, we are seeing witnesses getting ready with positive signs that it should all run smoothly. The reason I mention the Hard Fork is that it is expected to facilitate the account creation process which is a slow process today in most cases. As per @arcange post, account creation is volatile given the process with active new accounts falling under 100 per day this week which has limited the amount of posts I have been able to curate. In addition, some of these posts are honestly hard to read through. However, we expect this to change towards the end of the month and it will be interesting to see the implications it will have in the community in general. I am hoping to see more engagement and interested users being active immediately as I feel that users are most interested in starting right after the signup and not necessarily 2-3 weeks after.
This is my weekly post that I have committed to curating new users that post in the #introduceyourself tag for the first time. In those reviews, I provide an upvote and a comment to welcome them to the community as well as some tips and links to help them on their onboarding process. I hope to keep them motivated by doing this so that they can remain active and engage with the community as they start their journey through the #STEEM ecosystem. Here are this week’s picks:

Young student from Venezuela who is currently studying Information Technology but has many other interest like Anime, Comics, Photography, among other things. He wants to engage with the community and help with tutorials on programming.
Young professional in the food services industry from Venezuela which continues to add many user joining on a daily basis. She is interested is sharing her learning from her profession and how they integrate into healthy options for certain health situations. I continue to look to support user from Venezuela given the monetary crisis still present there.
New user part of the #steemjet community which I recently read about in a post so when I saw it on the tag, I read through it. This user says he wants to help spread knowledge about social media and information management to support the growth of the community.

Young musician from Venezuela that has already participated in a couple of music contest and wants to use #STEEM as a platform to share his work and contributions. Given the situation in Venezuela, he continues to look for ways to succeed in his passions.
