Part 2 : The Blind King, The Unsurper, And The Great War

And it came to pass that the prince had reached the 45th moon on earth and still remains blind,as the King the great Odumegwu's health begins to fail, it now borders on who will take over his throne, is it the blind 🤴 prince who the kingdom has rejected due to his perpetual blindness or an unsurper who is gaining traction amongst the youth and the elders

THE UNSURPER

Agwu Okolie was the son of Dimkpa Okolie, a peasant and a nobody who rose to greatness by achieving many a great fit which has earned him his reputation.
He is well respected amongst his pears and adored by the ladies, s very tell and athletic built man with a strange eye ball very uncommon amongst his race "blue eyes".

He was known from his childhood to be daring in nature, it is believed that no one goes to the river for a swim on a full moon as the god's strike the person dead instantly,Agwu proved the god's and villagers wrong by going to the river on a full moon for a swim .*

He was known to have single handedly beaten three opponent in a wrestling match, at age 21 he lead a team of youth to rescue the 28 virgins captured by the great warriors of Mbetollie village. He became the the only man to gone the dreaded shrine to rescue a girl meant to be sacrificed , his actions were against that of the king as it is a tradition for the king to use virgins to increase his lift span every year.

Agwu is a man that feels that every thing about the god's are fake and abosolete, he has proven times without number that a man's decision and courage and ingenuity is all that is needed to succeed. And so he has surpassed the people's expectations.
He is a very intelligent man and cunning.

He developed a mechanised system of farming by using animals to plough and cultivation the field, he also invented a way to bring water from the rivers to the community and many more inventions,the people saw in him a leader and one that can make Thier life's more meaningful and easy.he has the trust of the youth as you can not see him walking alone, youth throng and follow after him in hundreds, he was a celebrity.

So between a blind Prince who stays indoors and a man of valour and intellectual capacity the villagers were torn between tradition and advancement .
Again what the people don't know is that the prince is a wise man and blessed with a perculliar skill that no one ever posses .

The Chief Priest :
On a day regarded as a resting day were no one is allowed to work, a strange man walked I to the village clad in spiritual artifact, he requested to speak with the king at ones, he was a man feared by even his pears, a very powerful priest of the high god's, he rarely leaves his shrine .

It is strange to see a frog runing in daylight unless a prey is after it life.

The priest was a man of many words,as he sat Infront of the ailing king he spread his cowries on the floor for divination and shakes his head in agony and confusion , he said to the King, "** your son will regain his sight this has been ordained by the god's but a great sacrificed needs to be done.

A sacrifice that involves a hundred life's and then no man born if a woman can withstand your son in strength and intellectual, because by then the god's will give him extraordinary powers and he will rule the kingdom in your stead,his reign will be prosperous and his subjects will fear him .
For 30 mins the king was lost in thought,as the priest walked out of the palace the king is engulf in a tirade if thoughts and his a hundred life's can certainly sacrificed for the sight of one
