RE: Steemit took down @thedarkoverlord

in #steemit5 years ago

where he almost screwed everything is enough for us as community to start thinking how to get rid of STINC and Steemit.

You can get rid of them at anytime you wish by choosing not to log onto THEIR site. Not sure who "we" are that you are referencing.

I have seen several posts lately suggesting a fork take place that would rob the founders of their stake. Maybe that is the we you reference. That would be suicide, not only from the public scrutiny on the sidelines, but for any potential future investors who would rightly worry their holdings would be what, stolen from them if they failed to meet your approval? Not sure what else you might be implying by getting rid of them.

Sort:

To date, there have been zero forks that have performed better than the main chain. When forks have happened, it has damaged both sides. Not a smart move and one that should only be taken as a last resort.

"We" is the community. And "getting rid of them" implies combination of marketing, code development and infrastructure development in purpose of diminishing Steemit importance, especially for the new users, to the point where nobody will regularly use it. Is that too hard to comprehend?

No, you don't represent me, OR the community. As far as I'm concerned you speak ONLY for yourself and whoever else is idiotic enough to consider your nonsensical bullshit of "how fraudulent steemit is" or "everything the blockchain stands for" as intrepid and not idiotic nonsense as it's evident this action STEEMIT took has nothing to do with the blockchain OR everything it stands for.

Yeah it's hard to comprehended that you are some kind of voice for the community or that what Steemit did requires that they get tossed to the curb, only an insensitive idiot will "ride or die" for these tools being removed by Steemit, maybe if it was something that didn't directly violate Steemits TOS or if you could successfully make an argument that their TOS are unfair or very restrictive or at fault somehow then people might consider it, but seeing as you still haven't removed the misleading diagram and still persist with nonsensical "this action is against everything the blockchain stands for" trying to justify it.
