Email marketing was the most effective back in 1996 and 1997. And we had the highest rate of conversion. Email marketing is still here now and it is not as effective as it was before.

Then it comes to the search engine era. Search engine is going to give you the answer or the product you are looking for. Everyone tries to optimize their blog or website and do SEO so that it shows the first page of Google. If your site shows the first page of Google, that means you get more traffic and you can do whatever you want with that traffic.

I would highly recommend reading this. You make posts and create content on centralized social media for years, but could not make money from it directly. When you are on blockchain social media like Steemit, you don't have to worry about monetizing your content with Google Adsense, affiliate offers, CPA offers or selling any kind of products or services. If people like your content and give upvote, you can make money from it right away.

It was like a dream unless Steemit made the first move and show the world what can be done. Now we have many other social media built on top of the different blockchain. Steemit is the first one and it has the first mover advantage. There are many DApps that are built on top of Steem blockchain.

It is amazing to see how STEEM is moving forward. You can make content and share whatever you like on Steemit. You can make video and share it on DTube, you can publish your podcast or music on DSound, you can play games on Steemmosters or Drugwars. You can do a lot of things.
