1000 Follower Acceptance Speech
so here goes with the squealing and fanning
my heart thumping louder than thoughts.
I have been hoping this day would come
but I never dared believe my writing might
draw you by the hundreds let alone crest
this mountain. One. Thousand. (I gasp,
clutch my hair in shock.) But here we are,
and I am grateful. You make writing worth
the curious teapot effect of boiling over,
being turned empty, growing cold and
I never knew anything as sweet as 1000
lumps of sugar. 1000 sprinkles on ice cream.
1000 extra-long hugs. That is what you are.
