Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 7/2/2019 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 7/2/2019

Should you be trading with Steem today..

It's February already what happened to the first month? It seems that when it comes to the Steem INC power downs Ned said there will be a cap on how far they go down with it, which is what I expected to happen, and while this is a big relief for many Steemians it's a huge disappointment for those who wanted to buy-in on the cheap, but that is not to say you might not still get a chance for Steem's price to go lower as basically the powerdowns still continue. As for Bitcoin's part it was interesting how the previous fall's show Steem being barely affected, but now that seems to have caught-up along with the news of some other exchange's having problems leading-up to this now lower Steem price from it's January high of $0.43. Yesterday we also have our first actual February Bitcoin downwave they had been hanging around $3415 since the 1st of this month and have now gone from $3433 down to $3355 the downwave happened at around ⏰01.05. Still Steem did start this February in a better position than when we started the new year, well just about..as we are getting into the same position. As yesterday if you were a buyer it was easy to get the best deal because by that time most people were waking-up Steem was already good for the taking, Steem fell to $0.26 at ⏰01.25 the only time it would of cost more to buy would of been from ⏰12.20 and ⏰14.05. So yea Steem fell back to $0.26 and it stayed quiet till today at ⏰10.04 making it very easy to purchase cheap Steem, it was definitely the best day so far in February. As for the rest of the day Steem as been very slowly going upwards it's hard to tell as it did fall a few more times to $0.26 again but it is going upwards for now. Remember you can still take the risk on waiting for the possibility that one of Steemit INC's powerdowns will lower the price enough to buy cheaper, but be weary of this as there is no longer the need to panic as Steemit INC will be capping their powerdowns as now we know how Steemit-INC are handling this move. This whole thing was important because that account held around 44 million Steem. If nothing much happens in 2019 then I hope those who are in the game will take the opportunity to keep collecting Steem especially if the Steemit account continues to power down a little further. Steem at these low prices and with the Steem power-downs it places us on a survival mode era basically Bitcoin dropped drastically forcing Steem's value to tank causing Steem-INC staff reductions, a possible threat to the website and the Steemit's account security. The conclusion is to cut down the costs of nodes. Hivemind is now live the "steemd" instance size's went from 488GB RAM to now shockingly 61GB RAM! Focus is on a multi index RocksDB adapter which is a new technology in development to allow the Steem blockchain nodes to store almost all of it's necessary data to a disk in a modern database instead of RAM, this move will make nodes cheaper. Ned also said that the cost reduction progress will still remain above the creation of SMT's which I feel is the right move. Also nodes continue to run well on hivemind and which it was only made possible thanks to AppBase. Yesterday there was no question that we wouldn't see $0.92 as it started with SBD's jumping from $0.85 to $0.86 but we next had a downbump pushing them down to $0.83 we recovered only once to $0.86 around ⏰04.35 but with Steem also falling it was no surprise to see SBD's not hold and they eventually fell to $0.84. As for today I honestly didn't expect to see $0.92 and nope we didn't hit $0.92 but I was surprised to see it so darn close as SBD's reached $0.91 at ⏰10.45, would you believe it...Anyway SBD's were abit all over the place we started at $0.84 which is roughly where I expected to see it finish but like I said we did see $0.91 and also $0.88 so I started to think because of Steem going up it will probably end around $0.88 but nope in the end it done what I initially expected and landed on $0.85.
