Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 8/3/2019 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 8/3/2019

Should you be trading with Steem today..

Thank you, thank you guys for that extra support I just want to quickly mention that we are now only 80-SP away from reaching dolphin, any extra support on reaching our goal is appreciated. February didn't win us any Steem records the January high of $0.43 remained the best value of 2019 for a while until yesterday March 7th as we saw Steem reach $0.48 but we did beat SBD's in February with them reaching $1.01 on the very last day. With Bitcoins we started March going slightly downward but 3 days ago we recovered by upwaving to $3844 which is a "gain" from the previous fall and now we are going slowly upwards from hanging around $3813 to $3894. Ok as for Steem unless you haven't been paying attention you will know yesterday it started going upwards nicely and so we beat the January high like I mentioned earlier. Yup we was able to reach $0.48 making it the highest new Steem price for the year and honestly it's already a really good place to be and Steem as even been seen around position #40 amongst all the other cryptos. We started Steem today not at $0.48 but instead $0.45 and quiet early on at ⏰00.50 we had a upbump to $0.46. This was interesting as it was still so early but of course it fell and actually went back down to $0.44 and it remained there till about ⏰08.35 when it started going up quickly. By ⏰09.00 Steem was at $0.47 which was not far again from beating this year's record, but soon after it started falling and made it's way to $0.45 we did see a few bumps of $0.46 but Steem remained at $0.45. As for Steem it's been having one crazy day and I don't mean messy I mean it's going UP. Infact we started today already better from the last update at $0.41 and by ⏰00.30 it was already at $0.42 now it held on till ⏰02.55 where it went back to $0.41 completely as expected if we can hold a little lower then this survival mode is over. Anyway If nothing much happens in 2019 then I hope those who are in the game will take the opportunity to keep collecting Steem. Still Steem at these low prices put's us on a survival mode era as Bitcoin dropped drastically forcing Steem's value to tank forcing Steem-INC staff reductions, a possible threat to the website and the Steemit's account security. The conclusion is to cut down the costs of nodes. Hivemind is now live the "steemd" instance size's went from 488GB RAM to now shockingly 61GB RAM! Focus is on a multi index RocksDB adapter which is a new technology in development to allow the Steem blockchain nodes to store almost all of it's necessary data to a disk in a modern database instead of RAM, this move will make nodes cheaper. And so with the power downs put into halt all we really need is the price to be abit higher and we will be out of survival mode. Ned also said that the cost reduction progress will still remain above the creation of SMT's which I feel is the right move. Steem is also now available for trading on the Huobi marketplace so if you are a U.S. resident just go to huobi.com, if you are anywhere else you could try Huobi global at hbg.com. Also if you still don't understand how your private keys work or are relatively new to Steemit you can go to the Steemitblog account for a more recent official explanation. For SBD's you may remember they also broke record yesterday going up to $1.01 at ⏰05.20 but today we started at $0.99 and quickly moved to $1.00 this didn't last long and by ⏰01.45 it started getting bumpy falling mostly between $0.99 and $0.97 we did see the $1.00 mark one more time at ⏰09.10 before it continued on bouncing.
