Ready for some extra points this week on the Steemitbc leader board?
Last week Steemit Blogger Central had a new winner for Steemain of the week, and this winner only won by the extra points obtained on the extra point contest ( congratulations by the way @boxcarblue)
Each week we set a task, a task that everyone on steemit needs to know how to do, such as curate, up vote, write and so forth. The aim of the tasks is not only for extra points but also to help you use steemit to the best of its abilities.
The leader board, just in case you are wondering is a great way to get you involved with the community. It’s a bit of fun and there are many ways to win points. Just in case you forget, here are the points for each task.
So if you are anyway shy on discord, this is a way to bring your name out, carry out some activities, get placed on the leader board and I am sure someone will be calling you out.
At the end of the week, the winner gets Blogger Centrals Steemain of the week and some delegated power as the prize.
This Weeks Contest.
How many of SteemitBC posts are you actually reading? It is common for people to up vote and resteem without every reading the post. Do you do this? Ha Ha well if you do then to win points this will have to change.
This week SteemitBC will make two posts that contains the text “This post has been selected for Extra Points on weekly Steemitbc Leader Board.”
When you find these posts, double points will be awarded for resteems, up votes on the posts, and up votes on the comments made by steemitbc on the post.

There is so many posts its impossible to read all. There's probably loads of ppl that upvote or resteem tons of posts without reading. Or they have all this automated with tools.
I once tried to look a bit at the eye sign of a post. You'll find posts that have lots of upvotes but only few of these eye sign counts. Unfortunately there is no such data from the blockchain for further analysis.

But Steemitbc only posts 5-6 times a week so it should be easy to catch it
This is a great way to get people involved. I didn't even realize how many parts to this there were until I won the contest by complete accident. I'm paying more attention now.
Being part of a community means keeping up on things, reading the posts. This is a great way to get people more involved.
