Recently, within these steemit down-time errors, several steemians created steemit interfaces (condenser), which appears exactly like steemit. I have seen a couple of them e.g yehey.org but today on the steemgigs discord, someone brought this link:

Upon first look, you may think it is one of those full steemit condenser interfaces but this one is quite different, thus, i almost am certain that it is a phishing site.
Yes, the url is "https" but it looks really crafty and tallied; fully-placed to coincide with all the recent events with steemit, upcoming steemfest and especially, the new steemit condenser interfaces, that have been created by several steemians recently.
There is a stark difference between the link above and yehey.org for instance. Yehey.org is a complete replica of steemit, in how it looks.
steemit.press/Update-December-2017/ however, looks like this:
On PC, unlike yehey.org which displayed a steemit-like interface with all the interface, like a full steemit condenser, the link above was different. Only the log-in aspect to the page works, with all other clickables linking back to steemit.com.
I did change my password after trying the site as i was logged in to steemit and steemit requested that i log out!
I tried it on a fone next to be sure of matters and upon using wrong credentials, it doesn't reject it like steemit does with "username doesn't exist"; it just leads next to an html type page, that looks like steemit but that stays on "loading......" endlessly.
I wonder what the solution to this can be but perhaps steemit INC can purchase all likely domains containing the word "steemit" or constantly publish all domain names directly associated with them.
Parts were deleted as it as a duplicate post but this part of it is important.
Be wary of using your steemit keys or password on:

I haven't seen this yet, but I make it sure I'm always at the right site! The heck is wrong with this people messing around with our account! It's like virus replicating the entry as long as you are using it, it will stay that way like a loop, like forever, not knowing our account has been compromised and ending up hacked! Tsk!

Double post buddy
The same thing happened to me yesterday. You click post and it shows broadcast error and then you click again and wham! Double post through no fault of your own!
I thought it was a double post but it was just a double title update. the contents are different, indeed a few days ago alu also experienced the same thing. error occurs in almost all Indonesian steemian. hopefully the future is better buddy

Hahaha, i almost did it a third time. I just decide to check and see and this one was already voted on, so i couldnt delete either. So just left the important part there

Yes. Some got hacked. On the discord, person came as @steemit for using name and was posting the link as a steemit press update lol. The site is down now though. Hoping steemit gets stable, so this reduces
Well Steemit is flying at the sky. So there are many other birds, who do not want this to fly that high ;)
Presently i have two of the title and I cannot delete any of the two because there are some upvotes on it. So I couldn't delete either. It is well o (lol)
Yeah its happening with many others too. To avoid double post or comments I am suing steemd. Every thing shows there from the beginning till now..
Always check after error display to avoid duplicating posts.

Thank you brother for the warning. Or else, we will get victimized. I have a friend who was victimized and I am not sure if that's the website he used, and all his funds ran out.

You are absolutely right, in recent times there have been very frequent manifestations of phishing and all kinds of threats in Steemit. As practice shows, these kinds of sites are always disguised for good purposes, but in the end everything ends badly. Thank you @surpassinggoogle
It is better to use only the ones with steemconnect v2 integration only. Plus powering up. Then steemit.com and busy. Powering up is also there as a protection in cases like this, so the person can't instantly move funds and one can recover password
@surpassinggoogle. I experience the same thing as well. Infact there's one of my post that is showing on y page but because it has been voted I cannot delete it. I have to leave. I was even scared that this cheetah will not come after me.
But I noticed a lot steemians are also experiencing right now. There is also the issue of missing posts. For example , you finish writing a post and in the process if posting it you don't see it again. That can be so painful especially when you are writing directly, it means you have to start again.(Very painful). It happened to me twice.
I hope this will not continue as it will really affect a lot of people. I hope a lasting solution can be proffer to it.

Hi @surpassinggoogle perhaps first of all let me thank you for bringing this issue on board about this phishing site created by some fellow Steemians with an intention to ruin the integrity of Steemit as a blockchain network like yehey.org since if it wasn't for you i wouldn't have known of this scam that is going on this beautiful site of ours,lastly indeed we should not use https://steemit.press/Upvote-December-2017/ because we are going to experience problems of which we will not be able to solve by ourselfs but i do think that Steemit Inc should do something about this interface condenser causing scam as a phishing site,lastly thank you once again mr Terry for this post and continue posting such informative post on Steemit because you are a blessing to the entire community at large perhaps we should be wary of this phishing site,Stay safe @surpassinggoogle and much blessings from @davidkaruah.
Yehey.org is different from this other one. Though i for one wouldnt use it but i have seen it and it looks like a steemit condenser, which is different the phishing one. People use it too. Incases where you have reservations, use your posting key. Powering up is also a safety measure. For third party sites lookout for steemconnectv2 intergration, then that is useable

Yes on discord yes. Some fell. I have seen two already from Ph or three but they will recover their accounts i hope
thank you for the reminders @surpassinggoogle. I never tried logging in to a site with the same interfere, unless steemit itself suggested.
All good. Steemit works now and i think it will get better. For another interface like steemit. https://steemitstage.com as that is endorse by steemit and steemit devs. But for safety, posting key is good enough, instead of password
Wow, this information of yours @surpassinggoogle is very helpful to all of us to prevent our acc from phishing. That site is really fishy.
One of my friend also almost victimized by this phishing scheme and this is so unfair to us who are exerting effort.
For me, i just bookmark the site in my pc or make a shorcut icon in my cp and avoid any logins in the suspicious sites.
Yes, the site is down now though. One filipina came in that chats, she got hacked and her funds transfered. We have worked on her account recovery. Overall, power up is a safety measure. There is no reason not to powerup basically. At most there is just a one week delay to power down. Use familiar sites, steemit, busy.org and any third party site should have steemconnect V2 integration. And your posting key, if you are not sure of things

There are two now, i have seen from the Filippines i mean. The most recent is dante01 but i am pretty sure they will recover their accounts
I am sure @dante01 recovered his. We had exchages in my recent post. He's beating himself up though for making the mistake. The link apparently was given in a chat group. Just glad he was able to recover his account.
