on what becomes of dearest trending.
Whether you are here for wealth
or simply browse and vote in stealth.
It's true for all, we watch this war
Though some sit back and wish for more.
Since junk is brought upon this site
A few with armour choose to fight.
Whilst many seek the easy cash
By writing naught and banking trash.
Some do not care if they get hit
Whilst fighting for a finer writ.
To those who try, I hope you win
In sending junk posts to the bin.
Upon you, this world is depending
To change what we once knew as 'trending'.
There has been an upsurge in interest from a few big names on steemit lately sending out a new wave of flagging in order to remove junk posts from the trending page. Whether their methods are popular or not is another matter, though from what I've seen (a layman's view, I assure you) there has been a marked improvement in the past few days on what hits trending. Bots are very much another matter and still one of great contention, but it should be interesting to see how this episode in the lifetime of steemit plays out.
Thank you to those who are seeking to clean up steemit, it might make the site more viable to communities and investors with a genuine interest.
