[ANN] Thirsty Record's Musician Spotlight - An Incentive for Musicians
If you have been following us so far you may be interested to hear about our weekly Musician Spotlight.
What is Musician Spotlight?
Once a week Thirsty Records will choose their favourite Music on Steemit from that week.
Once chosen Thirsty Records will contact the Author to ask permission to re-post their content.
Once we have permission from the Author we will then re-post their Music on our page to our followers.
All Steem Based Dollars rewarded from Musician Spotlight posts will be given to the Musician.
What we are looking for
We are looking for originality and musicality.
Originality
Thirsty Records only curates music that has been created by the Author or is being posted on behalf of a Musician with their permission.
The music we look for has to be original and authentic.
We are not looking for covers or remixes.
Musicality
Musicality is the knowledge, sensitivity and talent in music.
Basically we are looking for the highest quality music to spotlight on our page.
Thirsty Records looks for soul, depth, hard work, and the funk.
Why have we created Musician Spotlight?
We have created this as an incentive for Musicians to post their music on Steemit.
We feel this is a great way for Musicians to expand their fan base and be heard.
We also feel this is another way for Musicians to be paid for their hard work.
How to be seen by Thirsty Records
If you’re a Musician and you wish to get involved, please use the #thirsty tag in your posts here on Steemit. You may also promote your posts on the #thirsty-music-promotion chat channel within steemit.chat. This helps us to find your music amongst the other music content being posted.
We also would like for every post to include the permissions for their music. This means that if you are the Author and Musician then you must say so, or, if you are the Author posting on behalf of a Musician, then you must provide proof of permission from its creators. We do this to ensure that it is in fact the Musicians who do the work that get paid.
