This is a problem that is going to bring down steemit as the biggest blockchain social media. This is why Chinese are developing a blockchain-based social media on EOS that is set to be launched this month with the aim of distributing rewards equally, solving problems faced on steemit.

To me other upcoming social media platforms will over take steemit if the reward pool is not protected immediately. We don't want to see people quitting Steemit and join other platforms.
