i have been on the steemit platform for almost a week and i already have my reputation jump from 25 to 28 as you can see on my profile. How did that happen?. by upvoting and commenting only on those posts that might hold more value.

So the Question still remains.. Which post is worth my upvote?

It depends on some number of variables, the first would be.

Is the post about a popular topic?

if yes then that post would surely be worth your upvote because posts on a popular topic will always get more upvotes than any others generic posts and you would get much BIGGER curation reward if you upvote early on in the race.

The second variable is a little calculated. It depends on

number of upvotes / time

My friend has been working on steemit or some time and he told me this formula to get a BIGGER reward. if you want to know whether you should upvote / comment / resteem a post you should see the time it has gone by since it was posted and how many upvotes it recieved in that time

For Example

I made a post about a hot topic that has been going around the internet for now. and now all of my followers are now seeing it and quickly upvoting it due to its nature of post about a new topic that has been gathering all the hype around. if you want to calculate if a post is going to make it big judge it by the number of upvotes / comments it received since it was posted

like e.g. i recieved 30 upvotes just after the post being published for about 1 or 2 minutes that means my post is very good and might recieve more upvotes and comments as the time passes. and that post will be worth your upvote

Feel free to upvote / comment / resteem if you like my post :)
