What will the future bring?
As most of you already know,@ned gave a live streaming about the future of Steemit Inc. and to be honest for me it was quite confusing. First of all I am not fully on speed with all the development and vision problems some are facing. for that I am to little really integrated in the Steem blockchain and all it brings to the community.
The thing which worried me a little was the comments of @ned about the future of Steemit inc, he wasn't (in my honest opinion) really specific about it, the only thing I got out of it was that there would probably be a separation between steemit.com and the futher development of the blockchain activities. (on that I share my worries with @exyle , watch his vlog here.
If I could express my thoughts and influence the development of Steemit, for me Steemit.com is very important to improve in usabillity, user interface and options within the site. I've been here for almost a year now and there is little to no improvement on the site itself while that is where most people house :)
I do understand that the development of the blockchain is somewhat different that a dapp (or site) on the blockchain, but I do think those two can go hand in hand....
To be honest I would be very disappointed if steemit.com would become an entity of it's own with the risk of fail afterall, therefore it is (for me) to valuable....
What is your opinion about the latest development around Steemit.inc ?

They are the creators of Steemify, THE notification app for your Steemit account for IOS.
It is an interesting debate going on at the moment! I do not understand the technical side of things, but it does seem like they are into survival mode, and just keeping up developing the blockchain.
The arguments I have heard is that witnesses could (possibly) run full nodes themselves and thus no need for Steemit inc.
I thought they were suppose to be in charge of marketing and moving Steem forward, but sadly I havent seen alot of that - maybe I have missed something?
No you're right. Not much of marketing indeed... That could do better then wat's up now... Cost reduction is a good thing, but they have to manage a good transistion towards the full nodes..
I think a re-evaluation is always good, Mark a New era and get engaged witnesses on board. Set a New goal and work together, we and steem INC especially are pioneers in this fairly New steemisfere, so hold on and be ready for things to come. And offcourse @exyle is totally right and his ideas are maybe one of the first steps to recovery. I think the ball is with Ned and hopefully next week There Will be more info.

Ja exyle is een goede bron, maar ook kabir88 heeft een interessante conversatie gevonden die er op wijst dat Steem niet echt ge-decentraliseert is, en als je in de wallet van bepaalde mensen kijkt word het duidelijk dat ze niet van plan zijn hen activiteiten hier voort te zetten.

I think time will tell what is is going to happen. I know that sounds goofy and obvious, but right now I feel like all we can do is just hold on and keep doing what we are doing. Support the witnesses and dapps that have a revenue stream outside of Steemit and see where things go...
