Steemit Secret: What is the perfect cover photo size for your Steemit profile 🤔

Ein passendes Cover-Foto für Steemit oder auch eine andere Social-Media-Site zu finden, ist nie ganz leicht. Es soll schließlich schön sein, zum Profil passen und auch von der Größe optimal mit dem Profil-Bild und dem Profil-Layout harmonieren.

Auf Steemit hatte ich aus diversen Gründen bis jetzt gar kein Cover-Foto, habe aber die letzten Tage einmal damit experimentiert und einige Entwürfe getestet, da ich auch herausfinden wollte, welche Größe das Cover-Foto haben soll.

Erschwerend kommt hinzu, dass Steem eine Plattform ist und unterschiedliche Frontends auch unterschiedlich große Cover und Layouts verwenden. Und dann muss das Cover auch noch responsive sein, da es auf unterschiedlichen Devices auch noch anders dargestellt wird.

Nach 16 Iterationen und auch Debugging im Browser habe ich die optimale Cover-Größe herausgefunden und diese beträgt:

1920 x 400

Natürlich kann es je nach Präferenz auch kleiner oder größer sein (allerdings steigen dann auch die Ladezeiten), aber diese Proportion funktioniert eigentlich ziemlich gut auf den unterschiedlichen Frontends.

Finding a suitable cover photo for Steemit or any other social media site is never easy. After all, it should be pretty, fit the profile and also harmonize perfectly with the profile picture and the profile layout, also in terms of size.

Until now, I did not have a cover photo on Steemit for various reasons, but have experimented with it the last few days and tested some designs, because I also wanted to find out which size the cover photo should have.

To make things worse, Steem is a platform and different frontends also use different cover layouts and sizes. And then the cover has to be responsive as well, because it is also displayed differently on different devices.

After 16 iterations and also debugging in the browser I found the optimal cover size, which is:

Of course, it can be smaller or larger depending on your preference (but then the loading times will increase as well), but these dimensions actually works pretty well on the different frontends.
