World5list - From Youtube to Dtube in 2018?
In a few hours I will be joining a panel discussion with my partner in crime @theywillkillyou, hosted by @aggroed. Among other things, we will be discussing what it would take to lure Youtubers (established ones included) away from Youtube and to Steemit.

I have to admit that I got a little demotivated with Steemit a few months ago and I feel a little guilty about hopping back on board now that things are soaring. I am proud of friends like @heyitshaas and @offoodandart who continued to post and became pretty successful even when times were a little though. At the same time, I am sure that the same thing that happened to me, happened to lot of other people but there are many others like Aggroed and @Jerrybanfield who always continued to believe in the platform and who continued to make efforts to grow the platform. I admire that and I am grateful for it. If it wasn't for them and other true believers (who I am not really aware of, but I know they are out there) then we wouldn't be where we are at today.
Even though I haven't been able to contribute YET, that doesn't mean I still can. Aggroed, Angelo (theywillkillyou) and I have been in talks about getting the word about Steemit out on YouTube. Between World5list and Theywillkillyou we have 1.8 million subscribers so I really believe we CAN contribute and make a difference. Steemit might be soaring but we have not come close to hitting our ceiling even!
The panel discussion starts at 11 AM Eastern today and the panel will consist of @andrarchy (Steemit), @heimindanger (Dtube), @prc (Dsound), @davidpakman (400k subs on youtube, syndicated on radio and satellite tv/radio), @doghaus (tv and radio in Canada), @careywedler and of course Angelo, Aggroed and myself. I hope you will tune in. I am not sure what all topics will be touched but I feel comfortable promising that it will be an interesting show!
The show will be broadcast from the Peace, Abundance, and Liberty Network and from mspwaves.com/listen. The show starts at 11am EST (1600 UTC). It will run for 60-120 minutes.

Yeah, it's been a long time coming that some platform replaces YT, or at the very least gives it some real competition. With the demonitization of smaller youtubers for any little thing while every late night talk show host or otherwise real-world famous person keeps their monetization is just indicative of the whole sytem being broken. DMCA take downs, strikes on people's channels for literally no reason, etc. YT is just another juggernaut that has zero consideration for anything other their bottom line.
More power to Dtube and more power to you. I hope you guys crush it!
Will YouTube actually ban Logan Paul?
He has uploaded a video on YouTube where Logan and his friends showing a dead body.
Not a chance. He's their golden goose. They've given him a little slap on the wrist by exluding him from some project or something, but it's all just theatre to make it look they're taking action.
And the only reason they're even doing that is because so many people were outraged by it. But they know that his fanbase is made up of kids who don't have the maturity or awareness yet to be able to recognize the difference between having something edited and orchestrated to appear to be pushing the boundaries and when someone has truly gone too far. YouTube has no problem with enriching themselves at the cost of others.
That's why Dtube is such a great idea, let the people who actually produce and consume the content have more of a hand in guiding it's direction. It's an overall better and more effective business model... that just happens to be better for the actual people who are engaged in the process. Win-Win. Except for YouTube, lol.
