STEEMIT FIRES A LIGHT to help us overcome the darkness that threatens Venezuela. Some words about Venezuela’s worst blackout ...

in #steemit5 years ago (edited)

It is very pleasing to me to be able to say again after a long week:
Hello, beautiful family!

Only today I have been able to enter Steemit because one of the many sequels of the long blackout that extended through almost the entire Venezuelan territory since shortly before the night of Thursday, March 07 and that still remains in localized areas is the fault with the internet.... Other consequences have been the total lack of drinking water service, the almost total lack of communication through basic and wireless telephony, failures in the supply of food and serious problems in the attention of hospital emergencies. If you know that Venezuela is already going through a serious socio-economic crisis, you can imagine the catastrophic effect of the blackout.

Certainly the situation has been very difficult but we have tried to keep the mood up... In this sense, we can say that the behavior of the majority of the population has been exemplary. Of course there have been cases of violence and violations against property, but if we consider that almost all Venezuelan cities have remained without electricity for up to 100 continuous hours, the balance is rather positive. And just as some people have used general vulnerability to commit abuses, profiteering, and crimes, I believe that the majority have shown solidarity and civic behavior.

Personally, the most worrying thing has been to keep in good condition the insulin of my little niece that we have so much difficulty obtaining ... However, thanks to God and the generosity of a branch of the drugstore chain Farmatodo, which provided us with a refrigerated space thanks to the power generator they have, was kept in good condition ... I will continue to tell you more about my reflections and the experiences of this terrible situation whose consequences will remain in time...

For now I just want to thank you all for the concern and interest shown by friends from various countries, some of whom even showed great generosity towards us, that has moved me very much ... May God give many blessings to all the hearts of solidarity that show with facts that Steemit is a great beautiful family.
